Anyone else prefer the Tamron Lens cap vs Canon's?

Have a good assortment of each and over time have really preferred the 77mm fitment and release of the Tamron Lens Caps over the Canon. Call me odd but it is just easier to reach into a lens with a hood on and pinch the center of the cap vs the outside. Some would say I have big hands :)

You can get these center pinch lens caps for a few bucks at any photography store.

Yep. I've walked past them many times. Why It took me so long to get them is silly.

Canon has been supplying the centre pinch style with lenses for quite a few years now - it is only the older lenses that still have the old edge-pinch style.

I started buying no-name (well, they had Canon printed on them) centre pinch caps off eBay for about $1 each years ago because they can be used with the lens hood attached which is impossible with the edge-pinch style.

I do not own Tamron lenses anymore. The Tamron caps I see look very similar to the new Canon ones. I hate them. They come off in my bag as mentioned above too often. Also, it is hard to position them properly. I even tried to use the older flatter Canon ones (like the ones in your photo) instead but they do not fit the new lenses.

All Canon lenses for about the last lustrum or two have had the centre-pinch design like the Tamrons.
Not only that, they can be purchased quite cheaply from Canon dealers.

And you can still remove them by squeezing the outside if you prefer.
