It may interest you to know, that the manual states not to shake the camera or subject it to shocks. These actions can cause the camera to malfunction.I get a rattling when I shake the R5 up and down...lens or no lens. battery out. Normal?
Yes. The sensor is free floating when the camera is turned off, so it'll move around a bit. When you turn on the camera, the IBIS engages, holding the sensor in place (and moving it slightly to counteract shake from the person holding it).Just received my R5 and it also rattles when i shake it. Anyone have updates on whether this is normal?
Go into your camera menu and turn off the "shutter close on shutdown" function.I received my R6 today and like you have noticed the noise and something moving inside, all I have to do is turn it over to put the battery in. I have read the replies and I have also posted on Facebook. Loads of people say its the IBIS but I have had others come on and say there R6 or R5 doesn't do this, I also popped into my local camera shop and the one on display doesn't do it and the store assistant who has both the R6 and R5 says he's doesn't. So i'm now really confused.
