XT2 LCD color/tint?

Hello!

It seems that I am having a bit different problem but also with tint.

When I move my XT2 and look at LCD screen I can see that the color (white balance) is changing from warm to cold. I've discovered that while shooting the video, where my subject ( a boy) was moving from left to the write..Even though the camera was still, when the boy was moving, I could see the sky on his background becoming warmer or cooler, depending on where the boy is going. Is this a normal behavior and I am missing something? Or is it really some sort of a glitch?

I'm bringing this thread from the dead because my X-T2 also suffered from the same problem.

I waited 6 months before I bought my X-T2 with serial number starting with 71 (2017Q1), and it still has the problem.

So I took it to my local Fujifilm office and I told them the LCD looks yellow/green.

The guy replied immediately, "You want a monitor calibration?"

So they knew about the problem and let see how well the color on the LCD looks after it is calibrated when I get it back next week.
Is anyone with an XT2 noticing the color temperature of the LCD to be somewhat yellow/green? Mine is, at least compared to my XE2, phone, and computer. Is there any way to adjust that?

It would be nice to get an update on your expierence with the calibration.

I am considering too send in the camera for calibration.

Looking forward for your feedback, albert

Thanks

I still haven't received my X-T2 back. They are also fixing the play button on my camera. Hopefully I'll get it back sometime next week.

:-) The Play-Button on my X-T10 got stuck after one year and was fixed be Fuji for free.

Fujifilm replaced the entire Top-Part (including all wheels, buttons, and the Hotshoe).

The good thing: I had scratches on the hotshoe... The camera looked like brand new after the service...The camera was cleaned :-)

I was very satisfied with the service of the X-T10...

Got my X-T2 back from LCD color calibration today.

Unfortunately, the color is still not right. Before, it looks greenish to me, now it looks yellowish:

The same thing with my X-E2:

The X-T2 is definitely not right(and it would drive me nuts). The X-E2 looks perfectly fine. The inconsistency is perplexing.

First: Thank you for the update and the pictures, albert :-)

Your pictures look the same as if I would do the same test with my X-T10 and X-T2:

X-T10 nails it "good enough" and the X-T2 looks to warm/greenish on LCD. However on my calibrated monitor and in the EVF the X-T2 is not to greenish/warm. EVF on X-T2 is okay for me. Only X-T2 LCD is off.

I will send in the X-T2 end of july (as I use it right now).

Does this issue also exist with the X-T20, or is it exclusive to the X-T2?

Wow, I receive my Fuji XT-2 last week and I notice the greens/yellow tint in the LCD too.

Today I shoot and Engagement Session with the Fuji XT-2 and I don't feel good looking the images that way. I turn the LCD +3 for brightness in outdoors, but not like the color.

Waiting for good news from Fuji.

Has this issue been resolved yet? I am still having the same issue wanted to know if sending to fuji service center will fix the problem. My camera is out of warranty and there are charges for checking as well..

thanks!

HI!

I don't hear any news about how to fix this.

Actually I send my X-T2 in for a free repair from fujifilm.

According to the enclosed letter, they fixed something different. Fujifilm did not mention the LCD in ther letter.

Even after the fujifilm service my LCD seems still to warm for my taste.

I just try to accept the LCD color as it is. On my D750 the LCD is off to. And on my Leica M9 the LCD it is plain horrible :-)

So the X-T2 LCD is better than D750 and M9. But the LCD on my X-T10 is still better.

As I shot RAW anyway this is no real issue.

And as I need reading glasses I do not like using the LCD anyway.
All LCDs look blurry to me without my (hated) reading glasses ;-)
