The ones that have been recommended in the other threads tend to work well .

I'm using this one without issues.

USB battery charger - US $7.99

I also have an AC/DC battery charger that I leave at home now. I use the USB charger above in the car as I have multi port USB power adapter for the AUX port in the car and want to charge my phone and camera battery when driving. I haven't had any issue with this one either.

AC/DC battery charger with two batteries - US $18.79

I bought, but don't use a two port battery charger. I used it a couple of times at home, and I found getting the batteries into the unit, so they would charge, a bit cumbersome. Trying to put a battery in, I heard the crack of plastic at one point, but could never find what cracked, battery or charger. I'll probably never use it again.

I didn't buy this particular listing, but it is the dual charger I bought.

Thank you

Considering the sensitivity of LiIon batteries to overcharging and fires, I decided to get a Sony charger when it was on sale for $39. I figured that the extra $20 was well spent to avoid any risk of damage to the battery or my home. Canon illustrated the difference in charger circuitry in their advertisement about counterfeits. I presume the cheap aftermarket battery chargers could very well have similar inferior circuitry as shown in the Canon ads. See:

I think I would have got a better response asking this here rather than the Accessories forum.

I don't know if a MOD can move or delete it for me.
I use a Watson charger with great success. It charges both the Watson battery that came with the charger and the Sony battery that came with the a6000. I don't remember the price but it was inexpensive. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

There's a big difference between "counterfeit" and "third-party from a reputable source".

It's pretty common that outright "counterfeits" are vastly inferior, and the fact that they impersonate an official accessory indicates an extremely high level of shadiness from the vendor.

These days, while Li-Ion is picky, it's also VERY well understood and as a result plenty of cheap but reliable/safe fully integrated charger chipsets exist for it.

I've seen numerous positive comments regarding the Wasabi Power products (I own a Wasabi charger and two Wasabi batteries - in fact the Wasabi charger would charge my A6000 battery when the camera wouldn't - my A6000 shipped with a completely dead battery, not the usual 40%-discharged battery most devices ship with.)

I also have the OAProda USB charger Russell mentioned - I've only used it briefly, but it gets fairly good reviews on Amazon.

Wasabi would have been my first choice as I use them and their charger in my GoPro. I can't seem to get hold of them in the UK. I don't need the extra batteries either, I've got 4 already.

Aah !!..so you're in UK.. well in that case THIS is the one I recommend you get. Very small.. very easy to use almost anywhere..home or car if you want to do that .. and IT WORKS fine...The one I bought as soon as I got my camera and I've used it happily since..

Anyone knows if there is a good, reliable dual battery charger for the NP-FW50?

There is THIS one on Ebay-UK and simply on looks and description AND that it is from a UK supplier I think I'd feel quite happy in getting one IF I had the need for a Dual..

There is another one that comes from China..very similar looking but I'm not sure it is really the same..a lot cheaper of course as these 'foreign source' always are.. but I just feel a bit less sure about it.

The possible problem is that I'm not sure the above linked one IS sent to your Country but it's well worth an enquiry via the Ebay ad ..

There is another quite small dual one but it doesn't even look good to me and I think I've read a note on Forum about just a litte doubt on it. With Batteries to charge..you really can't be too careful.. a badly made charger can very easily ruin what are more expensive batteries.. cheapness is NOT a good thing in this.

Sony BC-QM1 allows simultanious charge of 1 battery + USB charge through camera. But I guess that's not what you are looking for?
