I've got a few NP-FW50 batteries now and I would like a mains/USB charger for them.

I did buy an cheapo one off of ebay but it actually melted two of my batteries. They did refund me and send new batteries but the experience has put me off just buying another random charger.

Has anybody got a link to a charger that they know works well? I don't intend paying Sony prices but up to about £20 or so would be ok.

I use http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00HEXTEOE?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage

And also http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0042AV0MQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage (This one I've had since I bought the Sony Nex 5, so has been charging NW-FW50 batteries for over 4 years)

Neither of those (or the batteries included with the first one) have given me any problems.

The second one does hang from a socket and I found that the batteries sometimes would fall out so now I plug it into a bar socket to charge.

Thanks for those suggestions Zapirian. I thought there would have been a lot more by now. Maybe I should have posted in one of the Sony forums instead...

Possibly. Also what was the one you had that melted batteries? Got an ebay link to warn other buyers to be wary of it?

The one I bought from eBay is here

It came is this sort of box

I guess the problem is that they all look pretty much the same, although you can't tell the quality of the electrical components inside from the case. First one I've seen with that style of plug attachment adapters. Most I've seen have slide and clip adapters that go on the back. And the battery connection on the front often removes, so different plates can be attached for sale for different battery types.

Not sure about the DTSE brand but the Ex-Pro one seems to be quite prolific on Amazon and Ebay, and mostly positive feedback on most of their stuff I've looked at in the past.
