Of course, you know it isn't really the pictures, it's the thought of that purple velvet singlet ;-)Wow, thanks JonoHi > Competition:

lovely:I'm positively beaming now.
And presumably, as you asked this question, you didn't believe me (you of little faith).LOL, Jono said it was Ribena![]()
--Well, Flick, this shot was so tricky - based on days of careful"Pink Drink" by Quentin Bargate (please tell us what it is! Love
the colour on softness of this.)
experimentation with various pignments, test shots...blah blah
Oh, I give up, its RibenaI used "longer" setting on camera,
then tricked Ribena in to the water flow from outside the image
area, then boosted the saturation slighly in Photoshop.

You women - always want the last word!No not me - though my husband has fantasies of me as Mistress
Flick, complete with whip and thigh high leather boots.
Now i think we should stop polluting the voting thread with
mentions of bizarre articles of clothing ;-)

Hi,
I might be wrong but I think you've a couple of extra points in
each gallery to award. I'm guessing you would like to given so
many honourable mentions.
Lucky you, wish I had more points as I found it really hard to decide.
Regards
Paul

What's wrong with Ribena anyway? I'm sure it was John Major's
favourite tipple. Ok, I get it now....

Hi Chas
It might cost her a bit in air fares, getting around to everyone so
that they could take her photo, but if she's up for it, I'm game ;-)
kind regards

--Hi There
It's great that there were more entries this time - and a pretty
high standard at that.
It's so difficult to make choices, but here we go
Competition:
Bit of a whitewash by Flick here - I thought all her shots were
lovely:
4pts - Kingsmead by Flick Merauld
not usually convinced by partially recolouring - but this really
works
3pts - Misty Morning Pool by Tim Ashley
original and very characteristic of Tim - great
3pts - Punts by Flick Merauld
not a new subject, but nicly done, and the sepia works
2pts - Puddle by Francesco Tonelli
somehow more than it seems at first sight (another successful
recolouring job)
2pts - Pink Drink by Quentin Bargate
sooo formal! I love it,
1pt - Can't stop the water by John Hill
Well, it made me smile - it's nicely realised and I liked it better
than the bubble pics
(which, though well realised, seemed a little too contrived).
1pt - Unreality by Flick Merauld
Flick again - I think this is excellent, and would have given it
more if it wasn't for
the other two!
Exhibition:
Lots of wonderful stuff here, choosing was very hard, but here's my
(current) feelings
4pts - On the half shell by Francesco Tonelli
What Francesco does best - wonderful and mouth watering.
3pts - "A Mauritian morning" by Quentin Bargate
A lovely photo, he deserves more for carrying all that gear to
Mauritias!
2pts - Rockpool at Crackington Haven by Quentin Bargate
I love this kind of shot, and he's done it so well.
2pts - Dreamy Sea" by John Hill
Nicely composed, and nicely executed
2pts - Splash by Claudio Gatti
just GREAT!
1pts - Derelict West Pier, Brighton by David Millier
David's caught the nostalgic mood really nicely here - great shot .
. .
and more interesting as the pier has now (I believe) washed away.
1pts - Breakfast by David Fink
Hi David! I really like this one - I also liked the composition
and idea of the
Virginia barn, but thought it let down by the quality of the scan.
I also think that Warren (our reluctant organiser) deserves a big
vote of thanks - he's done it with a very good grace! It was also
nice to see John Oliviera from Kodak entering into the Exhibition
gallery - let's have more from the yellow guys!
I agree with Paul - for the next competition let's change the
rules, so that the previous winner can join in, as well as organise.
I also think that it was a good idea to have a pretty general topic
like 'water' - there are not enough entrants yet to make it a good
idea to exclude anyone with anything too specific.
Kind Regards
jono slack
I'm sure you have impeccable taste and all that, but I just don't believe you haven't got some horror hidden away somewhere or otherBizarreness in general might make an interesting theme. I wouldn't
want to restrict it to bizarre clothing, since my wardrobe contains
only jeans and T shirts. (I don't do weddings!)
Absolutely - as long as you wear the outfit during the travel. Thanks guys for offering my services. I expect first class travel
paid to get to all the destinations.
Never knew that salaciousness was illegal . . . . . but then, what do I know? Now all behave yourselves before we get slung off the forum!
