Anyone tested a lensbaby on the Mk II ?

I see that there is a lot of controversy around this lens. I can understand those of you who don't like the 'Lomo' or 'Holga' look of it, and I might not like it either on my photographs. But I had to order one to test... I'll show you my samples when I receive it !

As per turning a fine camera into a Lomo, yes I can understand why it shocks some of you too... My purpose here is really to play with it and probably learn a little bit more about photography. I don't think this will become my walkaround lens... ;)

i think it's a great lens for people trying to discover new creative possibilities and i plan to get one myself. it'll make a fine addition to my EOS mount pinhole lens!

that said, am i the only one who feels a tad motion sick when looking at some of the samples?

Here are a few with the 1Ds at wide open. I think it's great even as a serious tool. There is no duplication with Photoshop for some things without making it look Photoshop'd, of course the people that think expensive gear makes a photographer will tell you otherwise.

I'm considering buying one - actually, my finger is right on the
'order' button. I've seen so beautiful examples (mostly on Nikons,
sorry), and the lens is not really cheap (96$), but not expensive
either...
Anyone tried it on the 1D Mk II ? I would be interested seeing
examples...
Thanks...

Dont need to thats how my photos look anyhow!!!!

If you are that enamored with Tilt and Shift abilities, something tells me that you'll be wanting something more than an overpriced toy.

I love my Crown Graphic. While it doesn't have full movements (and actually I'm working on modifying that right now) it has enough...and talk about image quality! It's amazing what one can catch with 20 sq. in. of film. All for a couple hundred bucks.

If the lensbaby were somewhere around $25, I'd consider it. But I think I'll squirrel away the $100 I spent on it, and save up for a view camera that has all the movements one could ever want.

I said "Bad Copy" - Shame on Canon more like , they ALL should be RAZOR sharp, not just a selected few ..

Have a look at how mine was, I compared it to shots from a £150 Tokina 19-35 both at f6.7 , this was after the THIRD time canon tried to fix it - I know that 16-35s are a bit dodgy at the edges wide open even on a 10D but doing Holga impersonations at F6.7 was the last straw ..

This was about the worst one I've ever seen, though others have been pretty bad, even the ones without complete blurred left or right sides - congrats on getting a good one.....

I taken hundreds of lensbaby photos with my d30 and maybe 50 with my 1D2. It is a fun lens and well worth the money. I have used it as a macro lens.

I'm curious, because when I did a search on 'lensbaby', most answers where coming from the Nikon forums, and very few from the Canons forums. If you have some samples online, I would be happy to see them.
