Canon R5 Mark II Sensor update

Canon could not fall further behind Nikon and Sony on this front. The A1 is 50mp stacked, and the Z9/8 are about 45mp stacked....I'm really looking forward to the announcement, in particular the af improvements. In spite of Nikon's superior wildlife lens lineup relative to Canon, I'm hoping that the R5ii is good enough to keep me from straying...

Meh, he's just repeating the canonrumors rumors. There's no new information, no new rumors even.
Clickbaity video which has little relevance beyond repeating Canonrumors and speculation from contacts within retailers. Plus R5 price drops. Nothing new really, the “reviewer” clearly hopes he’ll make a bit of money from the embedded ads. For the rest of us, why not just wait and see what’s in the actual announcement?.

Hmm I don't see any new R5II specs on canonrumors right now. The latest update with the specs was in March.

And the guy in the video basically reads those bullet points aloud but pretends his information is something new or reconfirmed.

Yeah, just an echo chamber. Worthless, really. I'll wait for the real thing, and then come up with some reasons not to upgrade.

I would check his site occasionally, but his pattern is to take content from other sites (Canonrumors) and make it sound like he has discovered something miraculous. Tends to put a dramatic spin on the rumors from his "sources" which we all share. He is just trying to fill airspace, clicks and subscribes.
Referring to the new rumor today about the RF 24 f/1.4 and RF 50 f/1.4 where Canon Rumors links a video from this guy as their “source”.

You’re right. This guy is all click bait. Almost every single video from that guy is click bait.

That video isn't about the sensor specs though, so we can't say it's circling around the sensor specs.
But it's concerning they refer to each other. That guy makes a concrete prediction about the lenses so we will see if his 'source' is anywhere near the truth pretty soon.

Tbh that's even worse than that Ordinary Filmmaker guy. At least he openly says who his source is, but Camera Zone just says 'sources' and 'rumours' which are clearly from Canonrumors but never says it's Canonrumors.
In the end, it's exact same list of rumoured specs from Canonrumors. Sorry, but meh again.

I just ignore his videos. If you need convincing, here's his video on the Panasonic S1H II:
He claims March 2023 release "but might be delayed". It's been more than a year since then and still no word on it. "Might be delayed" typically doesn't mean over an entire year after the initial planned launch date. He states it'll have 8K video but Panasonic has come out and said they have no plans for 8K video. A lot of his videos seem to be just rereading rumor sites but in this case of this video and some others seem to be made up specs with no source at all.

I think it is fair to say that almost every single outlet on the net is set to promote clicks; the Ordinary Film maker guy's site is no different, and not the worst offender in bringing warmed over speculation. However, it must also be noted that he didn't say that his material on the R5 II was original or new, but that he had a new source whom he believes to be very trustworthy so far who has confirmed the claims he has restated that he read elsewhere. The confirmation is what he claims is the news, not the specs themselves. Who knows. I'm waiting somewhat impatiently for the real introduction.

I am considering an opposite move from Nikon to Canon if R5 Mk2 has similar sensor or better.
