R5/R6 Firmware 1.5.0 - Files removed from most Canon web site.

It’s like the Micheal Corleone. If you try to get out they drag you back in.So they say, I found out!You can never go backFor what it's worth, the camera will not accept version 1.4 if 1.5 is installedIf Canon has pulled it then it would be across the globe!
Suspect it's a server glitch in europe or they suspect its corrupted, somehow!
I downloaded from UK and all is good

If there is a problem with firmware 1.5.0, no doubt Canon will soon provide a 1.5.1 file that will correct it.

I have to live with it, what else? I do like the R5 files, especially in DPP. Something I never though I would ever say. It is dreadfully slow, but I have a basic recipe that applies geometry correction and reduces the NR a bit, to all files.That’s too bad. Good call - starting to look like my second option (Friday technical snag moment) applies.
Sadly, ‘forgot to include Zebras for stills’ is now looking an increasingly remote possibility.

I removed cfexpress card whilst installing v1. 5 which worked fine. After updating I put the cfexpress card and sd card back their respective slots. Did not reformat either card. Took several test shots and all is working fine on both cards. After seeing info decided not to carry out a format of the cfexpress card and await any updated info.
Mines workings just fine. I have a lousy bird picture I use. Once it locked the eye it stayed. I moved the camera around very quickly. If it lost the eye it would go to body and then right back to the eye. It's no worse that it was before.
No disrespect but 2 posts and telling everyone not to update. Jeez. Where have we seen this before? ;-)
I installed my CFE, formatted it, installed the FW update on it, did the update and formatted the card again. I'm not seeing anything.
Twitter and Meta. Two places I trust for accurate information. I'm not saying the original post and others are not legit. It's how it evolves.
That's my last post on that topic. Don' want to be banned. Sorry MODS.
I'm on another well known site and not much there about anything. Not saying it has not happened. Hasn't to me.
