What do you set your multi function bar to?

I am getting familiar with my EOS R. I saw one video where the photographer set the MFN bar to white balance.

I don't normally play with white balance and leave it to the camera which usually does a very good job of it.

What do you set your MFN Bar to? ISO? The control ring is a good place for ISO. Perhaps exposure compensation?

Greg.
Control ring is for ISO and MF Bar is set to white balance. However, I have discovered recently the M-fn button to be more useful, so I may turn of the bar or reassign it to a video function.

Can't get used to it. Disabled.
Then it,s nice that you can disable it right?
Click wheel would be even nicer :-)
If you realy want a click wheel …. you don,t want the Eos R :-)
I know how to compromise - just hope that some EOS-R police is not comming after me for not liking and using that slider gimmick :-) Of course, I would never publicly voice my dislike.
Too late i already informed them, lol :-)

Darn. To whom it may concern: The slider is the best thing since sliced bread. In fact, it is so good, the outdated dials should all be replaced. Canon: Please include Voice Activated Controls (VAC) in the next model. "EOS-R: Set aperture to f4, or whatever you think is best". :-)

That was funny.

I really like the multi function bar. The more I use out it the better it works. I use the click wheel on the lens for exposure compensation. The bar is set: left end sets ISO 100, slide adjusts ISO and the right end turns on and off the level in the view finder as I do not like to keep it on all of the time. I think it is too large. I never lock the bar and I have not found that to be a problem.

That's good.

I have mine set to swipe and right button to focus magnify and the left to the level.

I used it last night for the first time and it was very useful to use the swipe or tap the right button. Its easy to find in the dark.

I am used to finding the custom button I set magnify to on my Sony but I sometimes take a second to find it. The Swipe bar is super easy to locate in the dark. In fact so is the magnify button being right on that thumb rest bump in the drip. Good choice for its location.

Greg.
