X-T100 operating issues ?

I'm having an annoying and a potentially serious problem with my X-T100.

The operational sound [clicks] and focus confirmation beep intermittently stop working.

Typically it will run fine at start up [but not always] but after a short time, including, say, a couple of shots and/or some menu navigation it will go silent.

Iv'e tried all the usual stuff...removing battery and cards, changed lenses [can't see that would make a difference :-| ] ....even did a reset.....none of which helped.

I know some people really dislike the focus confirmation beep but I find it useful and I rather have it as an option than not at all.

So it's back to Fuji.

Does anybody have any experience with Fuji Australia?....just wondering about their turnaround....Iv'e got a trip booked in 7 weeks time.

Make sure you're not holding down the back button (I think it is?) which puts the camera into silent mode.

Thanks Gavin but no....it just seems to be completely random

You could probably sneak it is it usually takes about 5 weeks but a replacement could be quicker. In Australia there are three things you can put your money on safely, death, Winx winning and a Prime Minister will not see out his term in office

OK, this camera definitely has problems.

Apart from the above mentioned [now I don't even get occasional operational sounds] I now have a problem with the LCD display:

When I turn on all the usual info flashes on but I'm then left with the only the touch screen info on the right hand side. When I half depress the shutter I get the leveling bar and the bottom line...but no histogram and no top line info.

The EVF shows all the expected information.

All very weird but it's going back tomorrow with a strong suggestion that Fuji replace the body immediately.

I'm thanking my lucky stars that I actually bought this with a Fuji warranty...in the past I have tended to buy second hand or through a grey seller.

I think I'm having the same issue with my X-T100. I was shooting the other day and the it would not do anything when I half pressed the shutter. No green focus confirmation box or beep. When I full pressed the shutter it would take a picture, but I never knew if the image was in focus. I tried pulling the battery, checked to see if I was in 'focus release', tried switching lenses (23 f/2, 35 1.4 and 56 1.2).

I got home and was messing around and the half shutter press started working again, but only for a few minutes.

Switched to C-AF and had the same problem. It just would not focus when pressing the shutter.

Pretty amazing stuff. I've seen nothing like it so far with my X-T100.

Have you tried the camera reset functions?

Reset, changed batteries, changed cards even changed lenses

I'm guessing motherboard issues.....that are getting progressively, and weirdly, worse.

After a fairly quick turn around [19 days, posted interstate] my unit is back from Fuji Repairs, under warranty, with a new main power-board assembly and working as it should.

One thing, unrelated to the above, that is annoying me is the incredibly flaky Bluetooth connection I'm getting with my android phone.

I find the Fuji phone app to be frustrating to use anytime but virtually unusable with the X-T100.

Anybody getting a trouble free connection?

Solid with iPhone and iPad but why no basic Bluetooth only controls, and no bulb options either!

Every time I put my external flash (Godox TT350F) and shoot using viewfinder all buttons and dials won't work. But if I shoot using LCD screen everything works fine.

I noticed that after I shoot using ViewFinder and removes my eye on the ViewFinder the image that I took will automatically be previewed (even though I already turned off my auto preview on my settings)

Sounds like a problem with the Godox. My Fuji EF-42 flash works just fine.

Is it me, or are there a lot of shots that appear in focus when taking them, but upon review they are rather unclear. Say a face of someone which instead of being crispy sharp seems to have had the focus missed by a cm/inch.

PS: can't seem to find the "go to last page" button.

Also, how do I submit a bug to Fuji? Using the 15-45, after being in P mode, when switching to A or S priority, I can no longer change them manually. I have to power cycle the camera to get them working.

This does not happen with the 27mm for example.

I have observed that certain examples of the 15-45 have an issue whereby, on AF-S, the AF drive sometimes (not always) re-engages momentarily after achieving AF lock and maintaining the half-press on the shutter button, causing a slight overshoot of the focused point. This can only be seen happening if you have the AF focus scale displayed and carefully watch it, and it becomes more of an issue regarding results if you are shooting at the long end of the zoom, fairly close (10 feet or less) and at the wider apertures.

Sorry I don't know how to submit a bug to Fuji. I do wish you the best of luck with it, and please post here if you get anywhere.

Thanks for posting this! I don't have the lens and usually shoot manual lenses but it does seem that there is at least one "bug" in the 15-45 zoom.
