Hi all,

Not a really special shot but I like it a lot. My wife asked me if I could make this shot more 3d. Not shore how to do this. I did vignetting, contrast, tonal contrast, sharpening but the car is still not popping out that much.

Any suggestions? Please feel free to play around.

Oh, I see it is Italy (where, exactly? I'm curious) The (very old type!) Id. plate on the old 500 show CZ, that is Catanzaro, in Calabria.

I like the image, it tells the quiet atmosphere you can breath in an ancient Southern town...

And, frankly speaking, I didn't like the artificial look from the suggestion of the previous replier.

With such a wide angle lens (which one did you use?) you could have got the car "pop up" only by waiting it to come nearer to the camera.

You could just crop out the paved foreground, like this:

I went to 16:9 aspect ratio because I wanted to preserve the group sitting in the shadow, so "typical"!

But, honestly, I can't say if it is actually better than the original...

Two versions for you, first colour:

...and here's a sepia version:

A light smiting with Topaz Adjust to emphasise the textures a little. Selective sharpening on the car, a bit of dodging/burning around it, light blur to the rest of the image. Added a vignette using LensCorrection. B&W converted using ChannelMixer, and then tinted with Hue/Saturation. Finally tweaked the blue of the sky to make it a bit bluer. I hope you like?
