Don't remember the model number, but it was a Honeywell SLR, and I had a 50mm lens. I think they became Pentax, but I'm not sure about that. Don't have it any more.

Yashica fx3, bought in 1984 when I was thirteen years old, served me well thru my photography class in college of fine arts, second was canon d30 bought when I was 32.

Nikon F (Photomic). It was in 1979 and the camera was from 1964. I don't have it but recently I bought one from 1965.....I love this camera. Today I have a Nikon F100, Fuji S2, Konica Hexar, Calumet Cadet, Bronica SQ-Ai, Mamiya RB-67 and an Holga.....I love Photography (not only equipment).

SLR was a Vivitar 220SL with screw mount lenses.
The Canon AE1P that replaced it is still in my closet.

Chris,

I was just about to post and your post popped on.

Amazing! my first SLR was a Konica Autoreflex T w/1.4 Hexanon lens. Still works great on manual...very sharp lens.

My father had a Pentax camera with a screw mount. He had a 50mm 1.4 and a 70-200mm lens with a grip and trigger release. I don't remember the specific model. I also had a Polaroid. My first personal SLR (that I actually owned) was a Ricoh XRM with a 50mm 1.8. It was a fantastic camera although it was manual focus (which was good as I didn't care for autofocus at the time). I think you learn a lot about composition and seeing shots by only carrying around a 50 prime. After that I moved to a G1 and recently I picked up a D30.

Cheers, Joe
