I have used a pol filter onto a ND filter, but now I can't separate them.
Any suggestion to do that ?

Go to the nearest grocery store, get a set of rubber jar lid grips. After you get them separated, think twice before doing that again :-)

dont squeeze them too tight when trying to separate them as they will go out of shape and push against each other even more causing more friction and making it harder to undo.

One time i had a CPL stuck on a lens, i found the best thing to do was to turn the free moving part in anti clockwise direction for a little while, this way you arent squeezing the filter and it came off.

Wow that's amaizing. Thanks so much for this - I had a CP stuck to a UV filter, 77mm so hard to hold. Was stuck for ages.... I tried the trick above - just turning the free moving ring of the CP anti-clockwise and after a short while it loosened. Brilliant.
Thanks!

Just putting them on a flat surface, and applying a little pressure from the top as you turn the free-spinning part of the CPL can also work.

This is a good point, and my experience also.

Right. And when my CPL filter was stuck on a lens, I pressed down - gently - while I turned the moving part in a counter-clockwise direction. But not squeezing the filter ring.

Here's another option...

What type of CP are you guys are using that gets stuck?

I have a Hoya Pro1 Digital 77mm MC PL-C (Made in Japan) that is very prone to sticking. It had gotten stuck on a B+W F-Pro 77mm Haze filter in the past and very recently the Hoya circular polarizer got stuck directly on my Canon 24-70 f/2.8L.

So I'm wondering whether this is a specific brand/model of polarizer that has this problem.

More importantly, I'm wondering what brands of CP's out there can reliably be removed because I'd love to buy one that doesn't give me 3 anxiety attacks per year.

Any brand or type of filter can stick.

Try a little graphite (pencil lead) on the threads. ground graphite is an ideal dry lubricant, and when I say a little, i mean a little, just on the threads.

I started in the 50's - my first picture was taken with a Leica and hooked me for life. I no longer use my Leicas, but I am still taking pictures. Some things never change.

That's a good tip - how do you apply the graphite on the threads only?

Long, long time ago, when digital photography was only a fantasy, I had two filters stick together. After all attempts had failed I tried warming the inner most filter up slightly by placing it on a flat pan that had been lightly heated on the stove. This heated the outer part of the threads and expanded it just enough I was able to get them a part. I did this by letting the filters sit on the pan for longer and longer times on each attempt until it worked. When it did work the outer filter was only slightly warm to the touch so it didn't take much heat for it to expand enough to free up.

B+W with brass rings threads . Sometimes even they get stuck [ I screw my filters together and put a filter stacker on each end ] I just carry a set of filter wrenches in my bag

Thanks! I'll try the 2B pencil. If it works, I'll need to buy you two (meland and cheshirecat) a drink...

I'll have saved a lot of money buying a pencil instead of a new circular polarizer!

You can also look at filter stackers . They screw on to both sides of filter to help keep threads clean . They are hard to find and you can also clean the threads with plastic fishing line , weed whacker line or a rubber band .

Wow, I just got to say this trick is unbelievable. I tried heating with a hair drier, carefully applying liquid propane, (canned air upside down) and it would not work. I was afraid to apply to much pressuepre as to bend the rings and make it impossible to seperate. Read this post and twisted the free moving part counter clock wise and whala, came off as easily as you would put one on.

I was like.......REALLY?!?!?
