I must be crazy!

That shot was probably worth the risk you took, it's a pretty nice shot. Well, maybe if the sky were blue and the trees had some color (late fall / early spring) or there were a few colorful boats or...oh, sorry. ;)

Yes Bob, we know you are crazy. I have heard from many a barn that they are scared of the day that Ol' Bob shows up at their door, stalking them until you find the angle you want, and then shooting them dead on the spot. Not a pretty picture to a barn.

I actually fell into a mostly frozen lake once, up to my chest. I don't remember really feeling too much upon falling in (well, besides my lungs feeling like they were going to explode ;). I do remember when I started to thaw out that everything began to hurt though.

And just to make you feel better (from an insanity standpoint)...

For those interested, shot with a Mamiya C330 medium format film camera.

Adventurous has to have a little crazy in there!
Good job.

If you had slipped and fell in to that really cold water, then you couldn't move you arms and legs! Do you know what they would cal you? (down for answer)

I got a message from Barbara B. today. She asked us to forward it to you because she didn't have you e-mail address. If you will send me a message, I will forward you hers.

It looks like I'll be heading up around mid Jan. ... but depends on things like me getting work finished (Ha!) and just how nasty winter looks to be turning out this year..
I'll be down near NYC - Not quite so lake effected as you...

Scared of gettin chilly,

Smoke, you just can't beat the E-10 for todays prices, I just love mine and feel like I have a "real" camera when I use it
I may try to do some weddings and such
starting in the spring and do them cheap enough so as to be a
second photographer or a low budget one for them. I was thinking to
setup a laptop and show a slideshow of the ceremony at the
reception and give them their pictures burned onto a CD at the end.
Good luck with this, it is a very practical idea...I was hired to shoot a Can Am body building competition a while ago with my Uzi and brought my laptop and burned a CD of photos for $300.00...can't go wrong doing it this way, and like you said if they want prints, just order them from Wally World...

Happy Holidays to you...

You worried about your 3000? I'd be worried about hypothermia from
falling in.
Believe me Juli, I was more concerned about myself than the camera...the camera just happened to be strapped around my neck so if I went in it would also...

Good thing I have steady balance... ;> )

Matt, I agree about shooting again in the fall maybe with some more color and warmer water just in case...

What if I was in a pile of leaves with no arms and legs?...

Would they call me Russell?

What about in a bear cave?... "Claude"

In a hole..."Phil"

What about two guys with no arms and legs on your window?....

Curt and Rod....

OK, enough... ;> )

Actually she now thinks the Uzi is hers since I got the E-10...that's OK...it's all in the family...

I carry the C3000 in my jacket pocket to work cause I don't wanna bring the E-10 with me everyday...the C3000 is still an awesome little camera...I use the E-10 and Uzi when I'm going out on a real shoot, the C3000 is nice for spur of the moment shots...

Really worth it too !! thanks for sharing that!

Snow is usually washed away with rain around here before it settles :( but there's one I want to get too and will involve just as crazy antics should the snow stick long enough

Shoot more barns. Never heard of anyone getting hurt or loosing a

Glen, that is mostly true, unless you happen to lean your arm on
the fence for support without noticing the orange plastic
insulators down at the fence post! Don't ask me how I know that!!!
****:)
Ouch!

And then there's the mad bulls to watch out for...or glad sheep in
Ergos case...hehe..
