The feature set being offered just doesn't justify the upgrade. I was hoping for an 8x lens like the Nikon 5700.

Can't say for certain but I may just hang onto my G2. Have an investment in lenses and filters for the G2. It does what I need it to do for now. The year sure went by real fast didn't it (at least for me) - and I still haven't tried a lot of the features this camera has to offer. Still learning.

I will weigh the costs of keeping it vs selling and upgrading. A lot will depend on what the the reviews and initial responses from G3 owners. I will demo it for a few weeks. The picture quality and AF will have to be much improved for me to go for the G3. Otherwise, I'll wait for the G4 or look at something else later.

Yep. Only because there are a features on the G3 I've wanted since I got my black G2 kit just a few weeks ago. (Argh.)

In fact, I posted it on eBay today. Any takers?
