LOL...very creative and cute way to present your photos of the nationals...

Interestingly enough we just got a Krispy Kreme store in San Antonio.

Thanks for sharing...
:)
Silliness and nonsense is what I've been up to. I just finished a
story, with pictures from our trip to nationals, for the kids on
the robot team Eric and I volunteer for. Our head engineer is a
Krispy Kreme addict, and the tale is called A Krispy Kreme Fairy
Tale, and it's really dumb, so if you read it, don't say I didn't
warn you:

Thanks for sharing Peter....I like your Austrian Alps shot...

And I look forward to seeing your report on the keys.
:)
I'm still here. I've been up to playing with the kids a lot but
since I only sleep a few hours a night I'm still able to put in
lots of posts.

check out my pbase account for my recent pictures. I'll be taking
the boat to the keys next month and I'll be sure to take lots of
pictures.

I thought you were headed to somewhere?
I hope you get a chance to go on a short trip!

But I know the feeling... I spent the first few days cleaning my apt...then went outside to shoot the butterflies out back and got into a chigger nest...spent the next two days sitting on my hands so I would not scratch the chigger bites... was really quiet....Italians make no sound when their hands are immobilized!

:)
RichO you ask for it.

Here is my link to my week....... and I have been on vacation !!!!!!

I've been staying long hours at the hospital after my dad's knee replacement surgery. He's been crazy for the last two days from the medication, so it's really been fun. ;-)

RichO,

I'm here! Was at a convention at the beaches of Destin, FL last weekend and this week I'm building a tree house for the kids. I'll post a pic of it when I'm finished. My kids are so excited! They have already invited their entire school class over for a treehouse party (does this mean booze??)
Kindergarteners....they are nutz!

So that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I'm here. Going to Western MD this weekend to do some work on my house. Taking the cameras and hope to have some shots. I have some decent macros and close ups of springtime flowers that I took with the D40 and will try to get up soon.

Just signing in. Relatively new to the whole works---new camera, new to the forum, new on pbase (not quite a week). Lurked here for a while and am now starting to respond some and put some messages out. Great place here from my observation---people are friendly, interested in learning for themselves and helping others learn, good place to grow and develop, lots of talent here, good humor and fun seems to be abundant. I have seen some of the same people enough on the forum over a short period of time that I feel like I know them.

My selfportrait is posted in the members gallery now (page 9). Is yours?

Would enjoy comments on my galleries---comments, remarks (snide and otherwise)....

for Turkey Run State Park in Indiana, for a 2 day hiking excursion. We aren't all riding together on a bus this time, I'm glad. (!)

I'm trying to finish up my scrapbooking of the digital photos I took of the Multiple Disabilities class this year; burned a CD last night of pix of our recent Zoo Field Trip. It was really a hit, I checked with our AV expert (the librarian) and was able to roll a late model tv into the room and show the Uzi's handiwork on the big screen. Two people asked for a print of the leopard--even WITH the fencing!

I showed some of my other shots too, one being a macro of a peony bud with ants. Someone gasped and said, that's like something you would BUY!!! I have to share that compliment with everyone here--I'm learning a lot on this forum, whether I'm posting or lurking!!

Haven't gotten out this week with the camera at all...It's been raining so hard here we're considering building an ark! Only time it hasn't been raining, I've been at work...plan on getting out tomorrow though.

Am counting the days for my return trip to S. Cal all by myself....

I have been busy with my other obsession... gadgets! I have been having oodles of fun with my Casio Wrist Camera! A wrist camera, you say? Yes, a digital camera you wear on your wrist! It even has a color LCD display to view the photos you've taken! I am a diehard gadget freak so I've been missing from the forums for a while. To see this little beauty, go to this link on my website. Gadgets freaks, beware!!

Not an issue at all. I didn't even notice it. I guess I was worried for nothing. My glasses only fogged up once. That was when I got out of an airconditioned car at night. I want to go back!

Been missing a few people around here and wondering if we are all
just so busy at work or on assigments or now off to other places.
My other passion is sailing. My wife and I have been getting the boat ready for one of a couple cruises that we take in late spring and late summer. We are usually out of touch for 3 to 6 weeks. We will be on our way once we get a little better break in the weather...it has been a terrible spring here.

Did you do those photos with the 2100UZ? or some othe Oly?
Here's what I have been doing this week. No time for pictures of
baseball as I have been coaching and running the league. Very time
consuming.
