Some of you may have seen these on my website, but I don't think any have been posted here.

Hi Jonoid,

Thanks for the much needed gift of sunshine. Your Crete album is one that I can (and do) view again and again.

And these two are among my favorites of all your work:
Beautiful, just beautiful.

Hope you have a splendid week in your travels......and that all is pleasant and successful in your encounters with clients.

Best wishes,

David

Jono:

I'll say it again, it just amazes me how you capture color and elevate these ordinary things to works of art.

The last photo is a perfect example, that color green is just "popping" out at me. How you make a drum with a chain around it look like art I'll never know.

One day I hope to have just a sliver of your talent!

As Beth said yesterday you have "THE EYE!"

Have a great trip!

regards,
blang

Jono,

Hope your business travels are safe and successful.

I guess there isn't much sun in the UK this time of year. Photos of pleasant times always help one's mood.--Thanks.Cleave

Beautiful work Jono, beautiful. What can I say? Your work
simply amazes me. You have a safe week, and good luck
with your demonstrations.

Hi David

the stairs are great - polarising filter - 8.30 am - sun at 90 degrees - no fiddling!

I'll do my best to enjoy (don't like hotels)

Hi young fellamelad,

I look at them sometimes - the brightness is a real filip.

I was never sure about the bourgainvillea (sp) but I like the other.

Well - I don't mind the clients - it's the work I always seem to come away with that's the trouble!

Hi Blang

Well - that green bollard was that colour - Emma was saying - 'oh come on - you don't want a picture of that, it looks awful' . . . . but she liked the photo as well.

It's only seeing it. But then, nothing is ordinary in that blinding greek light!

thank for looking, and for the compliments too!

kind regards

(desperately trying to get everything done before leaving - but it's more fun here!)

HI Cleave - I hope so too - I like the driving - and the reading of books in the hotel restaurant - and the clients in the main - it's just the work and the hotel bedrooms that get to me!

and don't sunny pics just help the mood!

Glad you like that stuff

memories of happy times! (not that they aren't okay now too - I'm a lucky guy!)

I'll do my best - have to try not to get carried away in the demos

must not get carried away
must not get carried away
stick to the point
don't confuse them
don't crack too many stupid jokes

oh hell!

Hi Beth

I thought they were 'refreshing' when I had a peek - more so for me maybe as I was there!

anyway my travels aren't really going anywhere too nice - Manchester, Oldham, Warrington and Middlesborough - not too great eh! - doesn't sound like a Little Feat song!

Why is it that your town names sound great in songs - and ours all sound awful!

Love the steps--and the blue wheelbarrow------and----the green barrel------well, none too shabby LOL. Never been to Crete, but I love how different parts of the world have this different light. One of my favorites is our own southwest light.

Ta ta!!! I understand about the hotels. We spend several weeks several times a year in them for business--hate them--'cept we do get to share. That makes it much better. And---since its always way too late for restaurants when we get in, we take some nice wine, our own nice glasses and sip a bit and relax. Hope you can do the same at the end of the day and that your demos play out like you wish.

Diane

Hi Diane

thanks - glad you liked them.

I try to stay in classy pubs instead of hotels - If I haven't too much work to do I do like a good book with a meal (Humbolt's Gift this week). But the bedrooms ain't so hot - and I'm alone I'm afraid - it'd be great if Emma was there - but we would undoubtedly drink too much . . . . and stay up too late . . . . .and I'd have a hangover for work the next morning!

We are experts at two person parties!

I hope the demos work as well - its the product of 2 years continuous work rewriting 12 years work - but it does seem to be going down fairly well.

If not we're all penniless!!

Kind regards
jono slack

Hi Jono

I like the flower against the wall best. Of course, the others are very nice too. You must take some bog roll shots in the pubs.... Some pubs have some very nice toilets - like the Philharmonic Pub in Liverpool.

I agree the American towns sound better than ours. It's only folk songs that mention places like Manchester (absolutely no one mentions Birmingham though). This must be becaue we are brought up on a diet of USA films and media glamour that it becomes 'that far off place to be' - famous and rich and sunny. It is intersting and sad the way we undersell the UK - even to ourselves. Americans seem to be in love with their country. We only see our flag when the BNP waves it. Likely Americans are reared with their constitution, etc. We only have Queenie and Co who are a laughing stock. Maybe a constitution and a president would give us a better view of ourselves.

Hope your travels go well and that you get home safe. It's nice I think that you and Emma can still have a two-people party. I suppose 1+1=1.
