A new version of Sigma Photo Pro is available for download. The feature improvements are as follows:

New Edit/White-Balance Options
1. Auto WB always available as an option in Edit White Balance.
2. Monochrome processing as a WB option, which allows tinting via Color Adjust.
3. "Original" WB sets WB back to as-shot.

Info Enhancements

4. Show focal-length range in Info Window's focal length field, e.g. as "28mm (15-30)"

5. Info Window improvements (smaller layout, original white balance, long pathnames).

6. Info Line improvements (added WB to Review Window info line, and metering mode with bias to both windows' info lines)

Image Processing Improvements
7. Improved Auto White Balance calculation, especially for long exposures.
8. SD9-specific highlights color problem fixed.

Its about time (SPP 2.0 having been around since last November). Maybe we'll see an SD10 firmware update now?

Question: What's the "SD10-specific purple-fringe problem" they're saying is now fixed? I'm wondering if its what I sometimes see around some blown-out specular highlights, or something else...

I'm downloading it as I write this. Download seems to be rather slow, -only about 30 Kilobytes/sec On my 1.5 Mb/s DSL connection it should be something more like 180 KB/s. Is Sigma Japan's server that slow, or is every SD9/10 user on the planet trying to download it at the same time :-).

if they do. i will depend on the people here to help me. i just got thru the sensor cleaning cleaning cleaning clean ;)

i'm land line. 3.19 kbs - now it says 6 hr 22min to go

I'll bet it still doesn't have the No-Lenscap Filter (the one used to simulate no lenscap) I really need that one.

Thanks for the heads-up about 2.1.

The installation instructions show how to install camera drivers. Are these updated, too? Are they necessary to appreciate the updated software?

And I agree about the slow connection. Must be everyone hitting them at once.
