Please reply to this post with your own post - but change the [Title] of your reply to reflect your subject(s). If you want to say something about your image(s), that would be welcome.

Remember, you don't have to only post images you took this month - sometimes people don't get around to processing images immediately after they shoot them.

All R System images are welcome (stills or moving) but they must comply with Forum Rules.

Commenting on other people’s images is encouraged! If you post an image, please try to comment on other posts as it keeps everyone interested and coming back.

(We’ll aim to provide some feedback too - but we can’t promise to comment on each post and image. The absence of a response from us does not imply any criticism!).

Thank you!

Some images from a recent-ish trip up to Coniston in The Lake District, Cumbria.

(And yes, as seems to happen whenever we travel - we got completely soaked! :-D ).

All shot raw then processed and occasionally fiddled with - sometimes seriously.

(s/w: DxO PhotLab Elite, Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, Topaz DeNoise AI/ Studio 2).

Coniston Water. It is roughly 5 miles long by half a mile wide, with a maximum depth of 184 feet. It is also where Donald Campbell lost his life after crashing in his jet-engined boat Bluebird K7 during a world water speed record attempt in 1967. He was thought to have been travelling at more than 300mph when the boat somersaulted into the air.

One of the waterfalls to be found on the approach to the Coniston Copper Mines.

Part of a 27 mile ride - Karen heads towards Little Langdale en-route to the Wrynose Pass (a 1.6 mile, Category 3 climb, with 837 feet of ascent, average incline 11%/ max 25% - and yes, we rode up it!!). If you’d like to learn a little more about the Wrynose Pass click Here.

A Rainbow!!! (Which means…). Grounds of Sizergh Castle, near Kendal.

The Levers Water Waterfalls, Coniston. Shortly after taking this shot the weather kicked off big time and we were treated to merciless driving wind and rain for our 5 mile trudge back.

I managed to get out with my R3 today and for once it wasn't dull and raining, here's one of my shots from the marshes.

Nice shots you've kept detail in the snow.

Lovely. Especially like the cycling shot...

Nice! Where are you located that you get Mandarin Ducks?

We had one in Central Park 2 or 3 years back that was a media star.

Cheers, Charles

Unless I am greatly mistaken, that's a damsel fly. Dragonflies don't fold their wings along their bodies when they're parked.
