For 18-19 December 2010.

The world always looks a little different in shades of gray - or of sepia, or of platinum, or of ... .

Post a monochrome or two, taken any time, with any camera, of any subject, processed any way you like. Bedazzle us!

I've been doing colour photos mostly in recent times.

So I just went back to an old one, because I enjoy this thread and want to support it by all means :

And one a bit more recent (other toning, but also monochrome, and with the downwards gaze as common element) :

Being with family is a special time indeed (unless it's nerve-wracking :)). Enjoy your holidays, man.

That owl looks to be snug and warm, not minding the snow a bit. I really like how you kept the feather details and didn't blow the highs. That lens is a real treat, I'm thinking.. Thanks for sharing.

There's nothing special about this shot except for the six Blue Heron's circling this pound net on the Chesapeake. It was a last minute desicsion to get onboard a very small boat in December and the only lens with me was the 50 f2.
