I know this will probably come across as a vague question as I don't really know the best way to as kit (and I apologize for all the questions on the Zf, but I'm contemplating one and am trying to get all questions answered before possibly diving in).

I see that the Zf has the pixel shift function which generates some 96MP images when combined. Can anyone speak to the quality of this and perhaps how it may compare to say a 45MP Z7 or Z8?

IIf there's a hit to DR that I'm not as concerned about as I don't obsess that much about whether a camera has say 12 or 14 stops of DR because I tend to bracket a lot of my shots anyway so that part I'm not as worried about. Same for the fact it has to be assembled in NX Studio. That doesn't bother me either as it would just be an extra step in the workflow when pixel shift is used.

(The reason I ask is that I could see this as being benficial for some shots that I maybe want to have the option of printing large and am thinking it may be a benefit as well in case my Z8 or z7 were to become inoperable during travel (At least I'd have a way to get a high res image).
