Z8 new Firmware 3.0 Focus Range Limit setting for Birding

Long ago I used a folding 35mm film camera that had no focus system other than inputting distances. It took some practice, but I suspect we underestimate our capabilities when we don't use them.
very true... the same applies to volume and weight.
the z8 FW 3.0 has 3 different ways to get the desire farthest and nearest distance
What are the three different ways? The only one i am familiar with is through the lens? what are the other two methods? thank you in advance!

The nearest and farthest distances can be selected through the lens or the distances can be entered manually. They can also be selected through the lens and then adjusted manually.

yes.

'auto': position the focus point, with the AF-ON for nearest and the Shutter release for the farthest

rotate the dial: the back dial for nearest and the front dial for the farthest

keep either the AF-ON or the Shutter Release pressed, and fine tune using the Focus Ring
