Z6III dynamic range discussion

Not being funny; but you're never gonna notice differences between most cameras in shots like these, so it really is no surprize that you've noticed no difference from your old D600: just saying.
What kind of photo will show the difference in DR? Astrophotography perhaps or other? I would like to see some real-world examples.

It can be seen when pulling shadows to a level as per our eyes 'see' scenes in contrasty light. If you edit your files to look like real life in this regard, there is definitely more noise to deal with, especially when one can't bracket etc for one reason or another. If you google it, you will find it...And yes it would absolutely affect astro work, and other genres where stuff is pushed hard. Do not get me wrong, many people won't see it or care, that's fine. But to decry it is foolish, the D600 beats it out by a good margin in terms of dynamic range. I will always see this as a one step forward, two back game for now: because of readout speeds we are throwing away image quality that we never had to in DSLR land.

This topic has been discussed quite extensively (and to death) over the past 5 months. Yes the Z6 III's DR is not as good as say the Zf or Z6 II, but better than the Z8 and Z9.
Not at base ISO. At higher ISOs, it's a wash, but at low ISO, the 45 MP cameras are all better.
