True - but only if the card (or microdrive) is less than 2GB. If bigger it must be formatted FAT32 otherwise the A2 will not read it. I speak from experience here... I wanted to use a 4GB microdrive in the A2, and in a Sigma SD9. The Sigma works only with FAT16 - including the "unofficial" 64k sector size XP puts on a 4GB disk. The A2 will not read this format at all, but works just fine with FAT32. So I have to reformat the microdrive between FAT16/FAT32 on the PC if I want to move from one camera to the other. Some of these FAT issues are not as clear-cut as you might think.Find someone with Windows XP and a card reader and format the card
FAT (FAT16) NOT FAT32.
If I put a FAT32 card in my 7HI I get exactly the same thing - the
camera can't even re-format it. Need to use a PC.
