Now that the X10 is on sale in Japan, lots of photos are showing up on Japanese websites and Western ones they use like Flickr and WordPress.

I posted the Hokaido link yesterday. Only the 2 smaller photos are from the X10. As someone pointed out to me, the panorama is a standard WordPress heading image. The same guy, nezumikozou, posted a couple more X10 photos today.

Here are some of the Japanese X10 images on Flickr:

One small point that may help to follow the garbled Google translations: in Asia, "(^ ^" or "^ ^" or "(^ ^)" all mean :)

Frelwa, did you ever visit Henry's after ordering your X10?

I went over there yesterday and was told that all the salespeople really liked the camera, which they saw at the trade show.

By contrast, there were some examples of the two Nikon V camera models there. The exact same size as my LX3 with the adapter tube on, but perhaps 2 or 3 times as heavy. Like a brick! The salespeople don't like them.

More of a fun shot.

How many fingers do you have left? ;)

Hope we can turn NR OFF !!!

i prefer 2 or 3 or 10 times the noise in those pictures, but this pictures come straight out of the washing machine !

This was likely using NR=STD. There are 2 lower levels of NR in the x10.

Love finally seeing some pics. The translation really adds to it.

I REALLY CONFUSING!!!

I've noticed that, too. ;)
Looking at the original Japanese, yes, the word/phrase PIIKAN (pecan) is there plain as day in katakana, clearly a neologism that is not in the Google database. From the Japanese context, my best guess is that the KAN part is a truncated transliteration of English "confirm," and that PII is a reference to focus (though the traditional and rarely encountered Japanese word for focus is "syuutcyu" and most modern Japanese simply say HUoKASU, a transliteration of "focus").

It used to be that air condtioning in Japanese was RUUMUKUURAA ("room cooler"), but these days, it is EYAKON ("air con"). ORUSUI is an "all suites" hotel, and SEKUHARA is something that a former head of the IMF was accused of doing in a New York hotel room. I wonder if hose neologisms have made their way into the Google database.

In theory, I could have been named But but my name is Really, not to be confused with Can.
I REALLY CONFUSING!!!
Clearer now?
