Write Fuji about F700

If the camera is so bad we should not buy it and Fuji would feel it
quick. However, I do like the camera but purchased the next in my
list (s400) just because of $599 (F700)+ $100 (or so for xD memory)
and $50 (or so for the second battery) and PLUS TAX. It would total
to over $800. I do not think that $800 is a very attractive price
for a three Mega pixel compact with 2.8 - 4.9 lens. It is
prohibitive price.

Right now F700 is $400(same as S400)+$100 xd(Vs $70 for fast CF)+you can get 2 decent substitute batteries for $40(I'd rather get 2x500Mah non-fuji batteries that a 1x650 Mah Fuji).

I have purchased my camera from Circuit City with 30 days return/exchange policy. I do prefer it this way. My experience shows that almost my every camera passed through the exchange. The latest camera I had to exchange two times and only the third one worked properly. The first and the second had misaligned AF assist light. At the distance over 4 feet it was beaming under the focusing rectangle and AF assist beam was completely useless. For the third one it occupies a bit more than a half of the focusing rectangle and camera is able to perform focusing. The previous camera failed after two weeks – the screen turned blank ON (just white screen all the time).It took 10 minutes drive, 5 minutes to exchange by a very friendly Circuit City service desk clerk The exchange of an Internet purchase is a pain and it allowed only for 10 days with a hard time (sometimes) from the seller.

That is the reason for higher price. The price numbers used in my previous post are for the same place - Circuit City.
