Why no dynamic image stabilization on the a6700?

My a7cr just got it and it is really a game changer. Seems like they should be able to do the same thing with the a6700 since they can do it on the FX3 with fewer MP.

The dynamic image stabilization is really good and I miss it when shooting long telephoto shots. Anyone have any idea why this feature isn't available on the a6700?

Thanks

Either I've misunderstood you or you're wrong.

When in movies, (in pictures it makes no sense), you have Standard Stabilization (only sensor movement and/or lens optical one) an also Active one which is what I think you're asking for (which for sure it means an additional sensor crop).

There is a third level of Sony stabilization that adds "dynamic" to the active stabilization. It involves an additional crop, but is as smooth as anything I have seen on m43 (and some compare it to gimbal smoothness).

That said, I should have called it dynamic active, not dynamic image to avoid confusion.

Ok!

Nevertheless, have you googled if that Dynamic Active what actually means is "APS-C crop and then even an additional Active crop"?

Because if that were the case you'd have your answer...

(Or easier, have you more or less "measured" the Dynamic crop as an APS-C one?

a7CR is a 61 Mpx Full-frame. You've got "tons" of resolution to crop for. But a6700 doesn't have so much room.)

Sony's 12 MP zv-e1 has dynamic active stabilization, it isn't a question of MP. You only need 8.3 MP to do 4k, it should be possible on the a6700.

Thanks
cant you do it in PP

Yes but using catalyst browse is slow, and I do a lot of work with lumafusion and dynamic active stabilization is easier.

Gyroflow is not slow though But DAS is nice.

None of the APSC's has it yet, right?

Was first introduced on the ZV-E1?

Need to try this out.
