We practically use these forums that way as it is..

Can anyone suggest a good, easily accessible IRC network we could camp out on?

Is #CanonSLRTalk in our futures?

Couple cameras, buncha lenses, 2 scanners, 2 printers. It's what you do with it that counts. Think people walked up to Tolkien and said 'Wow, great books! You must have a really good typewriter'?

I've been in chats before (not on IRC). When there's more than about 3 or 4 people, it gets WAY too confusing. Too many sub-conversations break out, and you can't tell what's going on (well, I can't).

At least here you can peruse through the threads, which help keep things at least somewhat organized).

The only problem is that some good conversation may never make it here. I still think it's worth a try. Everyone would have to agree on which network it should be on.

The stuff I have is in my profile so I don't end up in your search results :)

Talking about something OTHER than the 10D, meeting people, I'm enjoying it.

Why don't you join us?

It gets too confusing when there's more than 3 or 4 people trying to talk, IMO, in an unstructured chat-like environment.

Been there, done that.

But if it keeps people away from here . . . . hehe

Start a danged 10D channel!

If you press connect is perfectly normal that it takes a little while before you see something, thats the connecting time to the server,
