Which tripod?

I have been very happy with the Vanguard Alta+. To minimize cost I chose the aluminum model. I liked the ability to pul the center column up and then tilt it sideways. It is a very good buy for the money.

Berelbacht Tripods are made in Germany and I live in Germany - you will find the quite often on ebay.de and the Berlebach online shop has new models for a fair price.

Sometimes a look at offers at ebay.com or American camera shops. Often they have interesting products for a good price - but buying them from the EU is a tricky thing. Sometimes you do not even know how much taxes you have to pay.

It is no problem to buy those cheap products from China as the prices are below the border for taxes - but if you want to buy products from outside the European Community that are more expensive it is an adventure.
