Sounds likely to me. The impression I had from a recent Pentax interview was that the Olympus method with 8 images and 40mp files is misguided and not the direction Pentax will take.
PF: Would it be possible to leverage the SR mechanism to increase the effective resolution of a Pentax DSLR?
Ricoh Executive: We have tried to increase the effective pixels with shake reduction. But the data size is big and image quality is not improved. So we are now trying to improve the resolution performance without increasing the effective pixels.

Does it really matter? If we are really gonna even discuss it, I'd just rather they call it 'Shirley', or 'Finally', or something other than some endlessly mind numbing number-letter combo that means nothing to anyone and probably has some combination of the same letters and numbers by another company in a different order like the Canon g7x and Olympus Gx7....or a microwave.

I suspect the line wasn't new then.
But you're right, Leslie was first called Shirley.
If we use a word like 'Shirley' or 'Finally', I propose 'Horse'.
