looks great..but why is it so small? my 100% crop at 400mm looked bigger...(not to get into a "whose is bigger" argument, as i'm sure
you'd win...lol)

Try 1/125 second, f:8 - use a tripod and a cable release or self timer (or both).

In Pbase I can choose an image size which I leave at whatever the default is. Could that be it?

strange...when i just went and looked at your post again, the image was smaller!!!
