I have installed the Samsung SmartCam app for iPad, and tried to follow instructions given in the manual for getting the camera to communicate with the iPad (send camera files to iPad) with no luck. Is anyone aware of maybe a better set of instructions than in the Samsung manual?

I don't know how your camera does it, but I've recently tried connecting my NX300M to my iPad, and this is what I had to do:

Initiate a wireless network from the camera by pressing the direct connection button

Find the network name among the wireless networks detected by your iPad and connect to it

Confirm the connection on the camera

Open the Smart Camera app on your iPad

Proceed from there.

Hopefully this will work for your camera too. There may be a different method for creating a wireless network on your camera instead of pressing a dedicated button, by going through the menu.

I received my WB350F yesterday, same problem here. It's also impossible to update the firmware using iLauncher.

So far I'm disappointed with the software to connect and update this camera. Right now i have a mediocre digital camera with no special features. I bought it especially for the wireless connection and photo sharing.

I really hope someone over here can help us out.

Here's what I did:

1. Select WiFi mode on camera, turn on camera and select MobileLink.
2. Wait for the camera's network address to appear on camera screen (this may take a minute).
3. Go to WiFi section of "Settings" part of iPad and wait for the camera address to appear, and select it.
4. Start the Smart Camera app on the iPad, and that's it.

I just got the file transfer from camera to iPad Mini to work with this app: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/samsung-smart-camera-app/id592062781?mt=8. This app is said to work with iOS phones and tablets.
Thank you! Mine also works now with this app. The SmartCam app Samsung suggested was the wrong app, this is for home surveilance cameras, you need this Samsung Smart Camera app instead. Very confusing but it works now.

The remote viewfinder also works fine now.

Now I just have to resolve the firmware update problem with iLauncher on my iMac. How can you see what firmware version is on the camera and what is the latest available version?
