WB2000/TL350 - Smart Range (HDR mode)

Are you manually pressing the shutter button? Or are you using a short timer? Manually pressing the button may introduce some momentary shake, whereas using the timer can minimize the shake.

I like your results, but it also confirms my experiments that it is most effective on fairly flat contrast scenes which need minimal HDR anyway and that grass and some foliage becomes "mushy" (handheld, even with 200+ SS)

Oh, well, this technology for in camera HDR is still in it's infancy.

can't believe i missed this! (i was in china for much of last 2-3 weeks)

well i think the HDR feature works best when the shutter speeds is fast (1/100 and more) as it comes 3 pictures in succession.

i've had decent results about half the time pushing ISO1600 on shutter speeds of 1/30 thereabouts though using a tripod :)

cheers
Would you say that it is possible for you to have most pictures come out properly (HDR) when you hold the camera in your hand?
Ratio? Mine is like close to 10:1 - that is 9 failures for each good one.
