Well, they seem the harmless type (hope they are), and they did not seem bothered with me...so hope it was ok! :P

Oh I will say abt 2cm? or there abt. Quite small fellas.

You had to have been far enough away so you wouldn't get stung, right? I mean, they just don't let ANYone come right up to them and start firing away. But perhaps they know about your reputation amongst the other bugs for your exquisite macro photography and figured they could use the publicity. "See, we just don't sting --- we're beautiful, too!" Fantastic images as per your usual.

Seriously, I am not very sure. Perhaps these species are not so aggressive as others. I hope not, cos I am assuming they are based on the few times I have taken them! :)

Thanks for your response and I have looked into the lenses you use for your macro shots and in a week or so I am planning on ordering them(or similair ones) and maybe a teleconverter too. But right now the little bit of cameara I do have(FZ7) with a few necassities has just about maxed me out oo.
