Was this a priority fix for Z8 Version 3.00 firmware?

I am reading through the Z8 Firmware Supplement for Version 3.00 in preparation for applying the update to my Z8, and was stumped at the following:


from Z8_FU_addendum_(En)06.pdf

What problem did this change address, and was it a priority over other changes they might have considered instead? I don't even understand what really changed, other than some menus.

I’m not certain, but it may be meant to address a confusing auto rotate capability introduced in the Z8 2.0 update.
