W1 firmware update ..when?

so whats with W1 firmware update?

someone mentioned, that the Sony told him that they are workign on that

someone, that is not gona happen

can someone really confirm, thats gona be W1 firmware update?

im an w1 owner and would like to see more details in my photos soon

What would a firmware update accomplish for you with this camera? Are there bugs that are bothering you?

I would say he/she is refering to is the number of people who want the noise reduction lowered or optional. Tha seems to be the only complaint thus far.

I have not heard of any firmware update tho.

Extremely doubtful that Sony would do anythinga about that. Firmware usually addresses true bugs (and oftentimes obscure ones, at that). It's rare that it addresses, adds, or changes "features".

I'd be suprised. Sony have only very recently started releasing patches and then only to correct 'errors', not to correct a matter of 'taste'.

I'm happy that it's fast and accurate. I'd be happier if NR was less marked but it's certainly not going back to the shop.
