Voting - Why Not ! ! !

Finished and I will not comment on the 'Tamron Prize Challenge: Travel and Nature' farce.
So if you voted on the Tamron challenge, how long did it take you to vote on every entry in "full screen" mode? The "normal" size shown in the challenges is good enough size to be able to vote on. Clicking on the image to see what the photographer uploaded only shows more detail which will rarely have an impact on the overall image. You must be a 100% pixel peeper, eh?

I see all the talk about limiting voting. How about this for larger # of entries (say, 100 total):

Have 10 heats of 10 photos for a shorter voting period. If you start voting in one heat, you must rate every photo in that heat for your votes to count.

Then put the 10 winners of each heat head-to-head in the finals.

There is no way I would have voted in a Challenge with 2,972 entries. As I stated in my origional post - 6) Finally Challenges with more than 100 entries are out of my honest focus range. So Hosts, keep the Challenges at 100 or under. To use my method of voting in that Challenge would probably have meant taking two weeks vacation - NOT.

As for your comment Clicking on the image to see what the photographer uploaded only shows more detail which will rarely have an impact on the overall image. That is not my purpose for doing this, it is to read any information provided with the image. For instance the current UNESCO Challenge being a prime example of learning about other places around the world that I wouldn't have thought of. Also the EXIF information allows me to learn how to capture certain shots or moods. Just my way of trying to improve.
Cheers - Kipper

Too complicated . . . suggest something that takes little resource to implement.
