Using A Nikon 70-200 with an A7RII sharp in viewfinder but photo blurry?

The lens was set on Manual, Full, VR Off and tried normal and active.
Since you are using a 'dumb' adapter, with no electronic contacts, the stabilizer in the lens won't work. Also, you need to tell the camera's Steady Shot function the focal length you are shooting at, otherwise the camera's stabilizer won't be able to work correctly. Being a zoom lens, you need to adjust that setting whenever you zoom to a different focal length. Or, you can turn off the Steady Shot function and shoot without it, if you've got steady hands.

Also, if you're not already doing it, you'll should consider using the focus magnifier feature of the camera. It's really the only want to 'see' if you're actually in focus.
