Can anyone recommend a cable that will connect my Olympus EM 1.3 to a flash so that I can handhold it in places where a remote trigger might be unreliable (I'm thinking places with poor reception or a lot of other photographers crowding the channel)?

Something like the photo of Bruce Gilden below (obviously the flash might be different, I'm more interested in the general principle)

I use a clone of the Canon off-camera TTL extension cable and it works fine on my OM-1.1.

I used a cable like that with my Vivitar flash for years back in the film days. Wireless TTL remote is a much better approach. The new Godox X3 transmitters are very compact and reliable. No need to worry about poor reception and range, unless your arms are a lot (100X) longer than 3 feet. I believe they have a routine for auto channel selection if you are around other photographers. I would never go back to a corded hand-held flash.
