Does anyone know if the 505 user guide is availably online or electronically? I just got my 505 today from maczone (btw thanks for the tip whoever posted they had it), and the user guide is in dutch and italian (I'm in NY). Someone must have mispackaged it.

The very same thing happend to me when I got the camera about 2 months ago. I called sony to re-order the manual in english, and they will ship it for free. However, it was on back-order at that time. I am still waiting at this moment. Your best bet is to visit phil's f505 review site and just post questions here.

If there is one thing that Sony can be criticized for is the consitent problems with packaging the manuals for their cameras. I am sure that there are hundreds of Sony users who have either not received a manula at all ot have recieved only for foreign language ones. That is why most of the Mavica manuals are available online as PDFs. I guess we should do the Cybershot manuals as well!

Well...I found 5 (!) manuals in the package of my F505.
1: GB, ES
2: SE
3: NL, IT
4: PT, RU
5: DE, FR

Seems this is the solution where are all the lost manuals are

Mine had the Dutch and Italian manual as well.

I called Sony and they did send me another one free, but it took about 1 month or maybe a bit longer.

By that time I had pretty much figured everything out on my own!

I have five too. In fact, I have 2 other Sony products that came with five manuals each too. I checked with my retailer friend and he said that that's the standard manual packaging that we have here in Singapore.
Maybe it depends on where the product was packaged or imported from(??).
