I was fixing my S70 box this morning when I stumbled
upon the original receipt of the camera and I suddenly
realized that it will be exactly 5 mos. come this saturday
that I've owned this little jem. Then an interesting thought
crossed my mind- I wonder what type of average I'll get if
I divide the total number of pictures I've snapped by the
total number of days. My numbers work out as follows:

3800 pix / 150 days = 25 photos per day ave. (!)

I wonder what types of numbers you guys are getting. My
wifey accuses me of being trigger happy, but that's one
claim I want to lay to rest... I'm sure I fit somewheres in
the middle part of the bell curve... at least that's what I'm
hoping for so plz. don't tell me I need to see a shrink! 8)))

Cheers

I only have about 1600 pix / 4 months, so I'm way down on the curve! (Of course I was without my camera for 2 weeks while Sony did their BOCS thing.)

Hi Guys,

Averaging 19 per day... although I have had some 70 picture days when I have attended events. Campouts, air shows, etc... over a gig in the last 3 months.

This is with my DSC-S70 with 32meg memory stick. On the high-picture days I downloaded to my laptop between sets.

Now if I can find lense accessories...

What is the BOCS thing, by the way?

Its an affliction of F505Vs only, your S70 doesn't have the problem. If you're really curious about the details, search the forum for "BOCS"

Man. . . You guys are photo freaks !! :o)

I've had about 153 days with my F505V. But I'm averaging only about 11.6 pics per day with it. I get stretches of time when I'm just unable to take shots due to work, schedule, etc. I wish there were a way to figure exactly how many days I've been shooting.

Frank C, it looks like you're going to end up on the "trigger happy" end of the scale, even as your wife has charged. Bahahahahahahah!!©

Nice topic going on, Frank.
And you really made good use of your camera:-))

2 monthes with my P1 + 2*64mb memory sticks
1400 pix / 60 days = 23 PPD

I had this mysterious impulse to test shoot every thing
in sight for the first two monthes so far.
but I hope can keep up this number even after I get over
my new-gadget-crush.
I paid 850 dollars for this camera; and I expect to
use it for 2 years before I get a new one, that means
I'm paying a little more than 1 dollar per day for these
shots.

I'm upto around 2900 pics. I got my F505V camera on August 1, 2000 so... 2900 / 150 = 19 pics/day. Of course, I went on a shooting spree during a month long vacation, so that increased my average somewhat. :)

bit more time before I declare trigger addiction.
I think a lot of STF ppl are too busy digging out from
the snow right now... yep, that's it- digging out from
the snow... it could only be that...heh...uh..

Huh?.... wha... uh... wha' happened? Where am I?

Must be that 'snow fever' again? So did I miss anything, guys?

The above pic is my car. This was before the storm even ended!!! And yeah, during that episode, it really was just about that dark outside due to snowfall.

I feel for you man, I really do. hehe.
Are you sure that's your car undo all that? Looks more like
your party-size bar-B-Q you were raving about all summer
long....haha. Maybe if you fire it up, it'll save you a heapful
of work ;-)))

There must be some method behind all this snow madness...

Just hang in there

I got an early Sony F55 and later the F505. If you count them both, I've averaged about 25 per day over about 2 years. No let up in sight. I was in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park yesterday and did about 350 pictures. Carrying four batteries helps and I download to a Sony laptop running on an inverter in the car. I've not noticed any mention of the fact that the camera doesn't go to 10,000 on the image counter, but resets at after 9999. And I was really looking forward to seeing all these zeros!!

Kim
