Wouldn't it help to have certian repeated questions stuck at the top of the forum? I would imagine you could resolve a good number of those, but not all.

Okay, is there really a "Hispano-Suiza" lens, or is it just a joke? All that seems to come to mind are automobiles and fifty caliber machine guns. Since I made that dual connection, I suppose it is some form of industrial octopus corporation...oh wait, am I supposed to look this up on my own?

to hold down the number of redundant questions. A place newbies could find out whirring in VR lenses is normal etc....

This could be located like the galleries, maybe one set of FAQ's for each brand of camera.

Yup, a few simple stickies that cover frequently asked questions or at least point people to easily accessible resources would do wonders.
