tilt vs fully articulating screen

I know most video first shooter prefer a fully rotating screen and a lot of photography first shooter hate it. but why I like the fully rotating screen to protect my screen more than anything else. but i would like to hear other opinions.
I prefer the fully rotating screen because I can flip it open and off to the side and choose the focus point on the screen with my finger. With the screen just turned around, and not off to the side, I end up focusing with my nose.

I store the screen with it closed, of course, and open it to focus with it, or f I want to change something in the menu or playback pictures.

Give 2 cameras of equal spec, I would choose the fully articulated over the flip-up variety and I almost exclusively shoot stills. On my a65, the screen faces in when I'm not using the camera.

I have flip-up screens on my a7Riii, GX85 and GX9 and they work fine for me.

I primarily shoot through the EVF.
