Well, when I try to shoot video with my firmware updated RX10 in the XAVS-S mode I simply get an error message when a SanDisk Extreme 95MB/s SDHC is in the slot. It needs to be SDXC. Not sure whether it's only sustained writing speed to the card which matters or if SDXC differs from SDHC also in other aspects.probably you need a SD Card with at least 50 Mbps.
Details abut the XAVC S codec for A77I is still unclear, but it's probably the same as the new A7II (which uses the 50 Mbps XAVC S codec). In case you would need a faster SD card that can keep up 50 Mbps video stream.
BTW, this XAVC S codec will improve the video quality of A77II dramatically.
Next point for testing of those cards would be whether clearing of the buffer speeds up and/or if increased performance allows for more pictures been taken in a burst until buffer fills.
