Softbox Sizes

Oh, Peter Peter, no ebay for me, I think ebay is nothing but a e-flea market, and I do not looking for fleas :)) I will find some good one, perhaps Hensel to match the logo on my lights :)) No, no chip staff going to hang from my Hensel. For now I'm using 60" umbrellas "Photogenic Eclipse Plus"

Regards

Ryszard

How do they work? they seem to me similar to umbrellas but lights
are pointed towards subject.
Octaboxes are not different from square or rectangular softboxes, just that the shape is circular.

oh ok, actually looking at main picture I thought that it did not have diffusing panel. After reading your message I looked more closely and found it in other smaller pics.

There are several factors to consider:
For someone starting out I suggest:
med (24x32) softbox
large (36x48) softbox
white 48" umbrella w. removable black cover
22" Dish reflector w. Sock

If you are shooting in a space with low 8' ceilings you will have
problem positionind the Large SB eliminate it from the list and
move the dish up to #2 in the priority list; its a good source for
fill in tight spaces:

med (24x32) softbox
22" Dish reflector w. Sock
white 48" umbrella w. removable black cover

I am thinking to purchase these:

36x48 Amvona's softbox
24x36 ebay-general brand softbox

I already have a 22" 5 in 1 reflector.

Please tell me your view on these purchases?

Should I buy Amvona's 5' octagonal light bank ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=200112095644&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=010 ) in place of either of above two SBs?

I just realized another thing. Is 36x48 reflector too big for a strobe which allows f8 at full power?
