I found this video online which to me makes the D850's shutter sound WAY louder then the D810 which was a huge plus , to me its sounds closer to the D5's shutter then the almost silent D810?

The D850 shutter is much louder than that of the D810. It is the price to be paid for the much higher fps rate of the D850 camera. There are two Q modes so for those doing wedding photography they will be essential.

Nikon ever since the successors to the D1x has made its cameras faster and noisier. At least with the D850 there are several options for getting around this problem that work well enough.

I'm sure your all alone on that,

Your constant cheerleading in every thread is becoming quite sickening...

Then you are on the wrong forum. It's a new camera. Why can't people be excited about a product that has been three years in the making? No need to rain on everyone's parade.
How do figure I asked a question and received replies that answered it except for for what's his face who wouldn't mind if it sounded like a firecracker going off only because it's in the D850 . Shutter noise may be of no concern to you but it is to others including me .
And, yes, I did want to hear John's opinion on the shutter.
You could've just asked him

..actually you're "the" man! :-) ..you and all your beautiful ladies ;-)

..and yes, of course you have a legitimate concern over the loudness of the shutter.. frankly, any amount of "clicking" sound would not pass the golfers swinging or the tennis players serving..

..it's because of the loudness of my D3s, that most likely I'll not be taking out to the public where masses of people are, cause the last time taking it out I've got a few "looks" coming my ways, lol's..

..the shutter of the D5 isn't really that aweful.. I've taken to shoot inside a museum and didn't really get a fuss out of people there..

..sounds like the "silent" shutter from the D850 doesn't work as well as we hoped.. but the new "quiet" modes may sound interesting, we'll have to see or hear how well it works.. ;-)

..Cheers!

...than the D810, but a tad quieter than the D500. I guess it's the price that has to be paid for DSLR's with high frame rates. I wish it was quieter, but it is what it is, and I'm not returning my D850. :-)

The D850 is definitely more quiet than the D800. It is more or less comparable with the shutter noise of the D7000.
