I'm anxious to try your method on a skyline, but in the meantime I
was working on a new still life idea and decided to give your
method a try to help reduce any possible noise. It works AWESOME
(and also gave me some real leverage in playing with brightness and
contrast too).

For noise you are correct, 2 exposures with the same setting will reduce noise with the top layer set to normal, opacity 50%

Your photo has incredible depth and clarity thats usually associated with large format cameras(2 1/4, 4x5, 8x10)
