Setting default res in 2100?

Is there a way to set the default resolution with the 2100? I always shoot in SHQ, but everytime I turn the camera back on it defaults to HQ. This is really annoying, especially when I need to take a shot quickly.

set it to the setting you want, hit ok, then go back into the menu to auto reset function, and turn it off. Now when you turn the cam on and off, your previos settings will remain. it's in the instruction book also.

Just go to mode setup on the menu,click ok ,then click arrow to custom, then again click arrow to the reset on/off mode selections.Next scroll to still and set to reset off.Press OK twice and it will now stay at your selected resolution.
