Sequential flash/speedlight wireless triggering ?

I would like to fire 2 speed-lights in alternation, ideally remote/ wireless. Right left right left etc. Each time I trigger a shot, one flash is fired, next shot, next flash.

Is this done with "groups"?

I wonder if my fl-700 could be able in commander mode to trigger the flashes in alternate order (by using groups? What wireless system do I have to use and how does this work?

I would be really happy if somebody could explain this to me (if possible, by avoiding expensive solutions like multimax/raven, bronco etc).

Use case is irisphotography, 2 or more quick successive shots, to stack them in PS and remove reflection of each side. Yes I know I can AI replace the reflections - that is what I did so far. But I would like to improve my pics to show a "true iris" - should I ever make somebody pay for his pics (which is not the case right now, as I consider them not good enough). Below are 2 of my pics. I am on a OM-1, MZ 60mm. Fl-700 + a tiny torch to decrease the size of the pupil. I only started this "project" 1 months ago, there is still a lot of room for improvement, I know. Thanks for any help or explanation.

Joined are pics of my "art". ISO 200, f9, 1/160s

The technique is sometimes refered to as "ping-ponging". I have done it using PocketWizard Max, MultiMax and MultiMax 2 transceivers. But that is for manual triggering of the flash - there is noTTL control. MultiMax and MultiMax II units are available relatively imexpensively on eBay, KEH.com and similar used equipment equipment sellers. All PocketWizard Remotes, Plus, Max, MultiMax, and Raven can be used together. You'll need a transmitter on the camera, and one on each of the lights.

The MultiMax and MultiMax II have been discontinued - the current replacement is the PocketWizard Plus IV and Plus III and the Raven. https://pocketwizard.com/

If you are lighting eliminate or minimize reflections have you considered cross...
I don't know if this can be done with Olympus strobes but with some Godox battery strobes (AD200 and higher) have a MASK function which allows you to set two strobes to fire alternately.

You can use groups to do this if you put two strobes in different groups, switch one group off and take the first photograph, switch that group on and the other off and take the second photograph. It's fiddly and time consuming but would work.

If you are lighting eliminate or minimize reflections have you considered cross polarization? With the cross-polarization technique a polarizing gel is used over the light and a polarizer is used on the camera lens. You set the polarization angle on the filter to be perpendicular to the polarization angle of the gels on the light.
